As you might remember, I was cold in Bangladesh. It never dipped below 75 there.
Somehow, when we were bidding on Ecuador, I managed to overlook the fact that it’s not hot here.
I mean, it’s on the equator, right? It’s supposed to be hot! Tropical, even!
That is most definitely not the case. This week it has rained every single day. When we come home from work, it’s hovering around, oh, 55 degrees. It gets dark around 7:00, keeps raining, and the temperature slips down to around 50. And no, we don’t have heat in the house.
Dark, rainy and cold. This is really not my thing.
This could explain why I’ve been so … sluggish lately. We get home from work, it’s already freezing (OK, by my standards) and it’s raining. There’s no way you’re getting me to leave the house again. I spend most evenings (OK, and weekends too) bundled up in layers and a blanket, hovering over the space heater.
When is summer here??
