So remember when it was cold in Bangladesh? Yeah. It was 77 degrees.
For some odd reason, I thought a place called “equator” would be tropical. Also, shouldn’t it be hotter when you’re closer to the sun? I was wrong. Right now, it’s 57 out. We’re lucky if we top 75 on a sunny day. Relatively speaking, it is freezing here. After two years in boxes, my sweaters all look rather … tired. SEND ANYTHING WITH SLEEVES.

You had 77 Fahrenheit in Bangladesh? I was there, too, same region of the country, exactly same time of year, only one year later and I experienced temperatures down to 45, one time 38 Fahrenheit at night! I couldn’t believe this was in a jungle, looking tropical with big green leaves and stuff. But I like the misty, foggy Bangladeshi winter-days, you feel even more strange on those days.
But so cold in Quito? Was it up in the mountains?
Yikes! That is really cold for Bangladesh! Yep, here in Quito we’re at 9,000 ft so it is considerably cooler than what I’m used to.
